Jataí: The Bee

The Jataí is a native bee of the Atlantic Forest. It must fulfill its duty to pollinate flowers and collect pollen and nectar to feed the hive. During the mission, some enemies will appear: spiders hanging from their webs, lemon bees raiding the hive, and a large spider, the Queen, who must be stopped.

As the flowers are pollinated, leaves will appear on the screen, and the player must avoid them. After pollinating or losing a life, a brief period of invincibility will be granted, which you can use to your advantage. In some situations, studying which flower to pollinate and which to leave behind will be necessary, as this choice could determine the mission's success. After a few pollinations, the screen will indicate that the player can exit the scene to move on to the next stage.

Once inside the hive, the player must find other Jataís to process the nectar and deposit it in the wax pot. The cycle continues, with variations in each stage.

At some point, lemon bees may attack the hive. The player's goal is to defend the entrance and block the passage. The bottom-right bar shows how many attackers are left.

Finally, the hive from the “Queen Spider” is defended by using wax and throwing it at the weak spot of the arachnid. The bottom-right bar indicates the enemy’s energy. Upon defeating the spider, a different surprise will happen at each cycle.

In the two-player mode, the flowers will be represented by rectangles, and a significant obstacle will interfere with the collection. Whoever pollinates ten flowers wins!
